APNA GHAR HOUSING PROJECTS IN FLOOD AND EARTHQUAKE AFFECTED AREAS OF PAKISTAN.

Under the “Apna Ghar Housing Project” started by the Customs Health Care Society in Disaster hit areas (Flood and Earthquake) more than 700 hundred houses along with 30 Mosques have been built. Detail is given as under:- 1. 350 houses in Noshehra, Charsada, Bahrin (Swat), and Peshawar of KPK during 2010 floods. 2. 150 houses in Muzzafargarh during 2010 floods. 3. 100 houses in Badin (Sindh) during 2012 floods. 4. 50 houses in Awara, Baluchistan during 2013 earthquake. 5. 50 houses in Ziarat, Baluchistan during 2008 earthquake.

Construction of Mosques

The Customs HealthCare Society has also taken the lead to build Mosques in different disaster hit areas of Pakistan. In this regard more than 30 demolished Mosques in Punjab Sindh and Balochistan have been rebuilt. One of the Mosques is 500 years old historical Mosque in Noshehra (KPK) which was completed washed away by the 2010 Flash Floods. The Mosques has been Beautifully rebuilt at the bank of river Kable with a cost of 5 million rupees the major part of which was donated by Ruler of Sharjah.

UPDATE ON APNA GHAR HOUSING PROJECT FOR FLOOD AFFECTED PEOPLE OF PUNJAB

  1. Under this project new one room houses are being built for the flood affected people of Punjab. In the first phase of the project, the flood affected area of 18-Hazari has been selected where at the end of year 2014 a colony of 20 houses has already been completed. The houses after completion have been handed over to the affected families where they are happily living.
  2. Moreover, the demolished mosques are also being rebuilt. One mosque in 18-Hazari and one in Muzzafargarh is near completion. It is pertinent to mention here that the Customs Health Care Society under APNA GHAR HOUSING PROJECT has already built more than 660 houses for the earthquake affected people of Ziarat (2008), Awaran (2013) in Baluchistan and flood affected people of Noshera, Charsada, Behrin Swat, Peshawar in Khyber Pakhtoon Khwa (2014), Badin in Sindh (2012) and Muzzafargarh in Punjab (2010).
